Mantis for iPhone, version 1.0 beta
Mantis follows the most-traded prediction markets and writes short stories when their odds move sharply, with the likely cause when public reporting explains it.

Email josh@hurstsystems.com. Include your iPhone model, iOS version, and what you were doing when the problem happened. TestFlight testers can also send feedback from the TestFlight app or by taking a screenshot in Mantis.
Alerts
- Turn alerts on or off from the Alerts tab. Mantis asks for permission the first time.
- Alerts arrive only when a story changes materially, such as the odds moving from unlikely to a toss-up, or when the cause of a move is found.
- An alert more than an hour old is dropped rather than delivered late.
- Tapping an alert opens its story.
Not getting alerts?
- Check that alerts are on in Mantis's Alerts tab.
- Open Settings › Notifications › Mantis and make sure Allow Notifications is on.
- Focus modes and Scheduled Summary can hold alerts back; check Settings › Focus.
- Turn alerts off and on again in Mantis to register your iPhone afresh.
Stories look out of date
Pull down on Top Stories or Alerts to refresh. Stories are rewritten as markets move and as causes are found, so a headline can change after an alert.
What Mantis is not
Mantis describes what prediction markets are pricing and what public reporting says. It is not financial, investment, or betting advice, and market odds are not predictions of fact.
